This chocolate porridge is indulgent, delicious, very chocolatey and a great way to start your day. It’s sweetened with maple syrup and contains ground cardamom which is super fragrant and goes incredibly well with the cacao.
The porridge is made with a total of 5 ingredients, plus any toppings of your choosing. Personally, I love adding peanut butter, a piece of chocolate and some fresh berries. The solid piece of chocolate starts to melt on top of the hot porridge which brings this entire meal to another level.
The porridge is made in less than 10 minutes which makes it a great weekday pick-me-up breakfast. After all, there’s been a lot of research showing that chocolate makes you happy. However, the porridge is just as delicious on the weekend as it is on weekdays – it doesn’t discriminate. Honestly, it doesn’t even matter whether you eat it for breakfast, lunch or dinner – you won’t regret it.
